Chula in Puerto Escondido is the go-to club during the week as most of the other venues are most popular on the weekend. The bar is located in front of the water at Zicatela and has some great drinks and food.

The venue is located in Zicatela on Playa Zicatela beach. It is on the waterfront side of the Zicatela strip.
When to visit Chula
Chula is best visited during the weekdays as on the weekend there are a lot more different options for you to experience that aren’t open during the week.
The main parties take place on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, however, the venue operates from Tuesday to Sunday.
Although the venue is new to Puerto Escondido, it has become one of the best places to party in Zicatela.
Chula Restaurant
Located on the beach, Chula has a very fresh menu, offering Mediterranean food and Spanish tapas.
They have a great variety of fresh cocktails, but their most popular ones are the Spanish sangria and the smooth diamond.
Chula Club
This spot is ideal for those who enjoy techno music, as it’s the only genre they play.
They always have emergent talent playing their new tracks, but they also have a few resident DJs like Dose, Crepe or AZP.
For a more “tropical” atmosphere, they have adapted the beach as the dance floor and it’s surrounded by palm trees.
The party starts at 11:00 pm and before then the entrance is free. The pre-sale price is 100 pesos or 150 pesos if you purchase your ticket at the club. Both prices include one shot of mezcal at the bar.
This is the go-to club after having a few drinks in any other local bar, where probably some of the PRs will offer a ticket at a pre-sale price.
The prices are very reasonable and they usually have some deals. The beers cost around 50 pesos and the cocktails 150 pesos.
For a more exotic experience, they also have a tattoo artist offering flash tattoos for only 500 pesos. The artist usually brings a lot of designs and it won’t take more than 15 minutes to get it done.
