Playa Marinero is a gorgeous stretch of beach that is located between Playa Zicatela and Playa Principal. The beach is approximately 200 meters in length and 50 meters wide.
The beach connects to Playa Principal so the water conditions and sand quality is very similar. The advantage of Playa Marinero is that it is a little further away from where the boats launch to run tours.

There is a cobblestone street known as Ent. a La Playa Marinero which will take you right to the beach. You can park down the bottom and you will find yourself at the beach.

The water is generally very calm which makes it ideal for swimming for almost all swimming levels though some people do complain that the water isn’t the clearest and sometimes can have unpredictable waves which attract some bodyboarders depending on the time of year.
It’s for this reason that you should be cautious and check the conditions prior to entering the water. With that being said the beach is normally patrolled as well to further ensure your safety while in the water.
The beach is connected to Playa Principal so walking here and exploring the restaurants and the night markets located behind the beach is definitely worthwhile.
Liza’s bar, located right on the beach is very popular and opens every day at 4.30 pm. The atmosphere here is great and they have music and great margaritas.
One of the most popular dishes is guacamole which makes for a great snack on the beach. As the name suggests the venue is run by Liza who you’ll usually find working at the venue and she is very warm and welcoming.
